C-Bus Installer Perth

Clipsal C-Bus design, installation and recovery.

Overview

Clipsal C-Bus installer Perth — new installs, retrofits and rescue work on legacy C-Bus systems across WA homes and commercial sites.

C-Bus is the most-installed lighting control system in Australia, and we know it inside out. We design and install new Clipsal C-Bus systems for Perth homes and commercial sites, and rescue legacy installs that have lost their original integrator.

We can re-programme existing C-Bus networks, integrate them with Crestron, Control4 or Home Assistant for app and voice control, and replace ageing PCI / 5500PC interfaces with modern bridges.

If your C-Bus system has been orphaned, our Perth team can take it on and bring it back to health.

Clipsal C-Bus installer & programmer — Perth specialists

C-Bus has been the workhorse of Australian home and commercial automation for 30 years — and it's still one of the most reliable lighting and load-control platforms you can install. We're long-time Clipsal C-Bus installers and programmers, looking after new C-Bus deployments and (more often) rescuing failed legacy systems from previous integrators.

Every C-Bus install we deliver uses current-generation Clipsal Saturn or Iconic keypads, properly designed bus topology, and integration into Wiser, Crestron or Home Assistant for modern app and voice control.

Modernising an older C-Bus system

If your C-Bus system was installed in 2005 and is feeling tired — keypads dropping out, scenes not running, no app control — you don't necessarily need to rip and replace. We reprogram, replace failing input units, and overlay a Wiser hub so the entire system runs from a modern app with voice control. Typical cost is 10-20% of a full replacement.

For new builds we still specify C-Bus where the client wants Australian-made hardware with proven 20-year reliability. It's our default recommendation under Crestron and Lutron HomeWorks.

Modernising a legacy C-Bus system — what's possible

We routinely take 10–20 year old Clipsal C-Bus installations and bring them into the modern era without rip-and-replace. The bus and the dimmers usually have plenty of life left; what's tired is the user interface. We overlay Crestron Home, Control4 or Home Assistant on the existing C-Bus network so the household gets a modern app, voice control and proper integration — while the proven C-Bus hardware keeps doing what it's good at.

Cost is typically 20–40% of a full replacement. Disruption is measured in days, not weeks. And the homeowner keeps the lighting hardware they already paid for.

What Perth clients say

Trusted across the metro.

"

Inherited a 15-year-old C-Bus system that nobody could fix. They had it reprogrammed and running on the app within a week.

Saturn keypads throughout, Wiser for the app. Best decision in the renovation.

FAQs

Frequently asked.

Quick answers to what Perth clients ask most. Anything we haven't covered? Get in touch.

Can you repair my existing C-Bus system?

Yes. We rescue legacy C-Bus installations across Perth — re-programming networks, replacing failed PCI/5500PC interfaces, and modernising the front-end with Crestron, Control4 or Home Assistant for app and voice control.

Is C-Bus still worth installing in 2026?

The C-Bus hardware is excellent and Australian-supported. The native app is dated — we pair C-Bus lighting with a modern front-end for the best of both worlds.
