Home Theatre Installation Perth

Cinema, engineered into the architecture.

Overview

Dedicated home theatre and home cinema installation across Perth — calibrated projection, immersive Dolby Atmos audio and one-touch scene control built into the room.

A proper home theatre isn't a TV on a wall with a soundbar. We design dedicated cinema rooms with calibrated 4K laser projection, acoustically-treated walls, and 7.2.4 or 9.2.6 Dolby Atmos systems tuned to the seating position.

Every cinema we build is run from a single Crestron, Control4 or Savant scene — one button drops the blinds, dims the lights, fires the projector and starts the film.

From media rooms in family homes to fully-isolated reference cinemas, our Perth team handles the design, acoustics, AV calibration and automation end-to-end.

Cinema-grade home theatre installation, Perth-wide

A proper home theatre is acoustics first, then gear. We design every room around the screen-to-seat geometry, speaker placement, sub-bass response and Dolby Atmos ceiling layout before specifying a single product. The result is a room that feels like a real cinema, not a TV bolted to a wall.

We install Sony, JVC and Epson laser projectors, Stewart and Screen Innovations screens, Bowers & Wilkins, KEF, Sonance and JBL Synthesis speakers, and Trinnov, Storm Audio or Marantz processors. Calibration is done on-site with measurement microphones — not by ear.

Theatres for any budget — and any room

Not every theatre needs a dedicated room. We install media rooms, hidden-screen lounges and full reference-grade cinemas with equal care. Budget-friendly builds start around $25k for a serious 5.1.2 setup; reference rooms with Trinnov and JVC laser projection run $150k+.

Every install is commissioned, calibrated and handed over with a one-touch remote — guests press 'Movie' and the lights dim, the blinds drop, the screen lowers and the projector warms up automatically.

Room treatment — the upgrade no one talks about

A $40k speaker setup in an untreated room sounds worse than a $10k system in a properly treated one. We build every dedicated theatre with first-reflection-point absorption, rear diffusion, ceiling cloud panels and bass traps in the front corners. The result is a soundstage that locks dialogue to the screen and makes 5.1 sound like 11.1.

Where the theatre is also a media room (used for everyday TV), we balance treatment with aesthetics — fabric-wrapped panels disguised as art, acoustic flooring under rugs, joinery designed to absorb rather than reflect.

Projector vs OLED — the honest answer for Perth rooms

If you can fully blackout the room and you watch movies at night, a 4K laser projector on a 120" screen is unbeatable. If the room has any daylight, or it doubles as a living space, a 77–97" OLED or QD-OLED wall-mount wins on every measure — brightness, contrast, daytime usability, install cost.

We quote both side-by-side on every theatre brief so you can make the call with real numbers.

FAQs

Frequently asked.

Quick answers to what Perth clients ask most. Anything we haven't covered? Get in touch.

What's the difference between a media room and a home cinema?

A media room is a multi-purpose living space with a 4K TV or projector — typically $15-40K. A dedicated home cinema is acoustically isolated, light-controlled, with calibrated projection and reference audio — typically $60-200K+.

Do I need Dolby Atmos for a home theatre?

For a true cinema experience, yes. We install 7.2.4 Atmos as a minimum in dedicated rooms, scaling to 9.2.6 in larger spaces with in-ceiling height speakers and proper bass management.

How long does a home theatre installation take?

A media room install runs 1-2 weeks. A dedicated cinema with acoustic treatment, projection, seating and automation typically runs 6-12 weeks from design to commissioning.
