Approach

How we deliver cctv & security.

We install discreet, high-resolution surveillance designed by people who understand both the technology and the architecture it sits in.

Cameras are placed for coverage, not clutter. Alerts are filtered so you only ever see what matters. Footage lives on local NVR storage with secure remote access.

Perth CCTV falls into three broad tiers. Entry-level Reolink 4K NVR systems ($3,800-$5,500 for four cameras) are genuinely good for most family homes - proper local recording, no subscription, phone alerts that work. Mid-tier Ubiquiti Protect ($6,500-$12,000 for 6-8 cameras) adds better AI, better night performance and a UI most clients strongly prefer. Enterprise-grade Hikvision, Axis or Avigilon ($12,000-$40,000+) is for large properties, commercial sites and homes where facial recognition and license-plate capture matter.

The single biggest mistake in DIY CCTV is cloud-only cameras (Ring, Arlo, Nest) as the primary system. When the internet drops or the vendor changes their subscription pricing, you have no footage. Every system we install records locally to an NVR you own - cloud is optional overflow storage, not the primary.

Camera placement is the other thing we get right where DIY installs miss. A camera on the eaves pointing straight down at the driveway sees the top of a hat and nothing else. Camera height, angle, coverage zones and lens focal length are all site-specific decisions.

01 · Detail

Coverage designed like an architect, not stuck on the eaves.

Every install starts with a site walk: where does someone actually enter the property, what heights and angles capture faces vs the top of hats, what ambient light do we have at 2am, where are the blind spots.

We use varifocal 4K cameras for driveway and gate positions (facial recognition and number plates), fixed 2.8mm for entry doors, and PTZ for wide perimeters. Not one-size-fits-all.

  • 014K varifocal for gate and driveway (number plates readable at 8-12m).
  • 02Fixed wide-angle for entries (face captured at doorbell height).
  • 03PTZ for large yards and commercial perimeters.
  • 04Discreet turret and bullet form-factors chosen to match the architecture.
  • 05IK10 vandal-rated hardware in accessible locations.

02 · Detail

AI alerts that only fire on what matters.

Every camera we install runs on-device AI to distinguish person, vehicle, package and animal. Alerts are zone-based, time-of-day-based and object-type-based - so the possum on the fence never wakes you up, but the person in the driveway at 2am absolutely does.

For businesses we add loitering, after-hours zones, uniform detection and license-plate whitelisting.

  • 01Person, vehicle, package and animal detection on-device.
  • 02Zone-based rules (watch the yard, ignore the footpath).
  • 03License-plate capture with whitelist/blacklist alerts.
  • 04Time-of-day rules (arm perimeter after 10pm).

03 · Detail

Local storage, no cloud lock-in.

Every install includes an on-site NVR sized for 30-90 days of continuous recording, encrypted remote access via mobile app, and optional cloud overflow for critical events. You own the footage. There is no monthly fee.

Compared to a 6-camera Ring or Arlo Pro system that costs $180-$300/year in cloud fees, our systems pay themselves back in year two and keep working for a decade after.

FAQs

Frequently asked.

Quick answers to what Perth clients ask about cctv & security. Anything we haven't covered? Get in touch.

How much does CCTV cost in Perth?

4-camera 4K residential: $3,800-$5,500. 8-camera 4K: $6,500-$9,500. 16-camera commercial: $12,000-$22,000. All supplied and fully installed.

Do I need cloud storage?

No. Every system we install records locally to an NVR you own. Cloud is optional overflow, not the primary recording.

Can I view cameras from overseas?

Yes - encrypted mobile app access from anywhere in the world, without a monthly fee, on every system we install.

Are wireless cameras any good?

For rentals and heritage homes where cabling isn't possible, yes - Reolink Argus and Ubiquiti G4 Instant handle it well. Hardwired PoE is still preferred where practical.

How long does an install take?

4-camera: 1 day. 8-camera: 1 day + return morning. 16-camera commercial: 2-3 days on site plus commissioning.
