Smart Home Devices Perth

The hardware that makes a connected home actually work.

Overview

From voice assistants to smart doorbells, we supply, install and integrate the devices that turn a Perth house into a true smart home.

A smart home is only as good as the devices behind it. We work with the leading brands in voice control, video doorbells, smart speakers and connected appliances — chosen for reliability, not novelty.

Every device we install is wired into a central platform so it talks to lighting, security, climate and audio. No app-juggling, no orphaned gadgets.

Whether you're starting with a single Google Nest or building out a full Crestron or Control4 platform, we plan the system end-to-end and back it with proper Perth-based support.

What a properly engineered smart home looks like in Perth

A great smart home isn't a pile of gadgets — it's one platform that quietly runs lighting, climate, security, blinds and audio without ever asking you to think about it. We design every Perth installation around a single controller so a Goodnight scene actually locks the doors, dims the lights, arms the alarm, drops the blinds and turns off the theatre in one tap.

We've spent more than a decade on Perth jobs from Cottesloe to the Hills, and the brands we install — Crestron, Control4, Lutron, C-Bus, Aqara, Ring, Nest and Alexa — are the brands that survive WA heat, blackouts and the occasional renovation. Devices are chosen for reliability and longevity, not for what's trending on YouTube.

How we approach a smart home device installation

Every job starts with a site visit and a brief — what does the household actually want the home to do? From there we draw a device schedule, scope the network, plan cable paths and price it transparently. No surprise variations on invoice day.

Installation is done by licensed electricians and data cablers, not generalists. We commission on-site, walk you through the app, and hand over a one-page cheat sheet for the household. After handover, every system is covered by our 10-year workmanship warranty and ongoing remote support — most issues are resolved without a callout.

The Perth-specific things we engineer for

Perth is harder on electronics than the brochure photos let on. 40°C summer ceiling cavities cook unbranded controllers. Salt air from the coast strips screw heads in two seasons. Western Power voltage sag during summer peaks resets cheap gear nightly. Every install we deliver is sized for these realities — we use marine-grade exterior hardware west of West Coast Highway, we ventilate every rack, and we put surge protection on every controller.

We also design around Perth's network reality. NBN FTTN copper is still common in older suburbs, and 5G fixed wireless is patchy in the Hills. Every system we install runs its critical scenes locally on the controller so the home keeps working when the internet doesn't — and we add a 4G failover SIM on the gateway for the homes that depend on remote access.

What we install when budget is tight

Not every household wants a $50,000 system, and we'll happily scope a $4,000–$8,000 starter that delivers genuine day-one value. Typical entry packages include a smart lock on the front door, a hardwired Ring or UniFi doorbell, voice control in the kitchen and master, smart lighting in two living zones, and a UniFi network upgrade so the rest of it actually works.

What we never do at this price point is install gear that can't grow. Every starter is built on a platform — Aqara, Lutron Caséta or Home Assistant — that scales to a full home over time without throwing anything away. Most of our long-term clients started small.

Five rooms of audio, lighting and climate on one platform. Easily the best money we spent on the build.

FAQs

Frequently asked.

Quick answers to what Perth clients ask most. Anything we haven't covered? Get in touch.

What smart home devices do you install in Perth?

We supply and install voice assistants (Alexa, Google Nest), video doorbells (Ring), smart locks (Aqara, Salto), smart thermostats, smart appliances, and full multi-device platforms running on Crestron, Control4 or Home Assistant.

Will all my smart devices work together?

Yes — that's the point of professional installation. We integrate every device into a central platform so lighting, security, climate and audio all respond to one app, one keypad and one voice assistant.

Do I need a new network for smart home devices?

Usually yes. A typical smart home runs 40-80 devices, and consumer routers struggle. We install Ubiquiti UniFi systems with proper VLAN segmentation so your IoT devices are fast, secure and isolated from your main network.

How much does a smart home device installation cost in Perth?

A starter package with voice control, smart lighting in 2-3 rooms and a smart lock runs $5,000-$15,000. Whole-home systems with Crestron or Control4 typically start at $30,000 and scale up.
