A modern intercom is not a doorbell. It is a video call from your front gate to any phone, any screen or any Crestron touchpanel in the house - with a button that unlocks the door for the person on camera. Every install is properly cabled (PoE Cat6 to the outdoor station), weather-sealed, and tied into the wider access-control system so pressing the unlock button on the intercom triggers the correct door strike, saves a camera clip and logs the entry.

Residential video intercoms

For Perth homes we install Doorbird D1101V, D2101V and D2102V - stainless-steel outdoor stations at the front gate or door, with a 4K camera, night vision, motion sensor and a button that rings any phone, tablet or in-wall touchpanel on the network.

The intercom integrates with your smart lock and the driveway camera - you get a video call the moment someone approaches, can see and speak before opening, and unlock remotely if you know the visitor. Every call is logged and can be recorded to the CCTV NVR.

For apartments and townhouses we install Aiphone GT-series - the standard system across Perth strata buildings, with in-unit handsets or a mobile app depending on the building's spec.

For commercial sites we install 2N IP Verso and Akuvox R29 - modular outdoor stations that combine an HD camera, keypad, RFID reader, fingerprint scanner and multiple call buttons on a single unit at the main entry.

Integration with access control and smart locks

The whole point of a modern intercom is that unlocking the door is a real action, not just a buzzer sound. We tie every intercom into your existing (or new) access-control system so a single press of the unlock button on the intercom releases the correct door strike, disarms the entry zone of the alarm, saves a CCTV clip and logs the entry against a credential.

The intercom becomes part of the access control platform - not a separate legacy system with its own wiring. Same app, same logs, same rules.
