01 · What a residential system covers
Every subsystem in the home, on one platform.
A properly integrated Perth home has lighting, climate, blinds, audio, security, access, cameras and network all running as one system with one interface. Not eight apps. Not a drawer of hubs. One platform - wall keypad, wall tablet, phone, voice - that runs the whole house consistently.
That's the difference between a smart home and a house with smart devices. Every scene we programme (Morning, Away, Cinema, Guest, Goodnight) touches multiple subsystems simultaneously and behaves reliably a decade after handover.
- 01Lighting - Lutron RadioRA 3, HomeWorks, DALI, Philips Hue Pro.
- 02Climate - ducted reverse cycle, hydronic, MVHR ventilation.
- 03Blinds and curtains - Lutron Sivoia, Somfy, external Ziptrak.
- 04Audio - Sonos, Sonance, JBL Synthesis whole-home and outdoor.
- 05Home theatre - dedicated cinemas and media rooms.
- 06Access - Aqara, Yale, Salto smart locks, video intercoms.
- 07Security - Bosch/Paradox alarm, hardwired CCTV, sensor lighting.
- 08Network - Ubiquiti UniFi Wi-Fi 7 with structured Cat6A cabling.
- 09EV charging - Tesla Wall Connector, Zappi solar-integrated, three-phase 22kW.
02 · Working with your architect and builder
In from schematic, out at handover.
For new builds and major renovations we come in at schematic design and stay through to lock-up and commissioning. That means cabling paths are designed in, keypad locations are agreed with the electrician, comms racks have their own room with proper ventilation, and the AV room is acoustically isolated from the main house.
The cost of doing this at rough-in is 30-50% less than retrofitting the same system after the walls are lined - and the result is materially better because every element is designed in, not squeezed in.
For retrofits we work within the constraints and are honest about which items are easy (wireless Lutron RadioRA keypads, Sonos audio, Aqara smart locks) and which need cavity access or ceiling work. Every retrofit quote is scoped after a site visit.
03 · Frequently asked
Residential FAQs.
How much does a whole-home system cost?
Retrofit essentials package $18-35k. Premium package on a 4-bed family home $45-95k. Luxury new-build with Crestron or Lutron HomeWorks $120-350k+. All figures supplied, installed and commissioned.
Do I have to redo my wiring?
Not always. Wireless Lutron RadioRA 3 keypads retrofit over existing wiring. Full HomeWorks or Crestron systems need cabling, usually done at renovation stage.
Will it work with what I already own?
Almost always. Most current Sonos, Hue, Nest, Ring, Yale, Somfy and ducted-aircon systems integrate cleanly. We audit before quoting a replacement.
How long does an install take?
Essentials package: 3-5 days on site. Premium 4-bed home: 2-3 weeks. Full luxury new-build: staged across construction over 3-6 months with lock-up and post-lock-up phases.
What happens after handover?
10-year workmanship warranty, plus optional monthly support ($60-150/month) covering firmware updates, remote troubleshooting and priority callouts. Or fully own the system - your call.
